When You're Trying to Understand Genesis
The Book of Genesis is foundational for virtually every aspect of both Jewish and Christian theology.
The following articles and videos are intended to help the student better understand how these particular
scholars interpret Genesis, as well as to introduce the student to considerations they may have overlooked in
their own study of the book.
It may be worth clarifying that the scholars listed below represent a "Non Young Earth" position. They have been
selected not only because their positions are not as well known as the Young Earth position, but also for their scholarship, commitment to the
authority of scripture, and insistence that scripture must be interpreted in light of the indicated genre and the culture of the author.
